Dear Robina SHS Students, Yes, I’m talking to you (literally). I hope you enjoyed my talk about goal setting and some of the influential factors that helped me to realize the impossible is possible. Goal setting isn’t about success or failure. It’s about having the visualization to step outside your comfort zone and challenge yourself. No word of a lie, I jumped out of bed with a spring in my step, every day for 6 months, leading to my 6-hour pull-up world record attempt. I admit, some days were harder than others, however, I created a purpose, a hunger, a desire to achieve something so audacious nothing could stop me from realizing my potential.

Only when you want becomes a need, will you truly understand the mindset I was in during this attempt. When setting your goals, if you don’t believe that it’s possible, pick a different goal. Not until you believe in yourself, will the results follow.

As a recap on tonight’s talk, remember the following goal setting principles:

S – Specific
M – Measurable
A – Attainable
R – Rewarding
T – Timely

If you really enjoyed the talk, check out the following link which summarizes tonight’s discussion on goal setting – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmUJXFfnnzo. If you’re not sick of my voice by now, there are a total of 7 short videos in which I take you through day by day tutorials for achieving your life purpose (in your case, it may be something you want to achieve over the next 5 years).

For those wanting help mentally preparing for the next level of your career, see my Peak Performance Coach, former NRL, Super League and mentor to 1000’s of athletes Mark Edmondson. He is willing to a provide a free peak performance session to everyone who attended tonight’s session. His details can be found on my facebook page.

I would love to hear feedback from each and every one of you on my Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/cityadventuresgc/.

P.S – Mums and Dads, see if you can earn a day off work by convincing your boss you need a Gold Coast Team Building Day held by yours truly – www.cityadventures.com.au.

Best Regards,
Chris Borgese
